Talking about Frontierland

In the last year Frontierland was disputed. It moved around in the park for months. Lastly we left it and it fell out of the park's layout. Then I started a comeback of this realm. I built a Frontierland, located in the letf area of the park It was influenced by an old song called 'The Big Rock Candy Mountains'. I don't know, whether you know this song. The song describes a hobo's vision of utopia, a place where the "hens lay soft boiled eggs" and there are "cigarette trees". The song is also rather ironic and satirical in that it additionally describes modified versions of things that one wouldn't think should exist in paradise at all, such as police (with wooden legs) and jails (made of tin), but sound appealing to someone whose lifestyle runs afoul of the law.
On the pictures you see the result. But there weren't enough things adapted from the song. So I decided to design a modified version. So our new Frontierland will be located in the upper-left section of the park and will feature a small extension with props from the song. The real Frontierland will feature the normal stuff we knew from Frontierland, like Big Thunder Mountain or the Shooting Arcade. In the Big Rock Candy Mountain Section we will find some rides for smaller children like a ferris wheel or a western merry-go-round. The main attraction is a little coaster called 'Big Rock Candy Mountain Mine Train'. I know: very creative. Welcome to the VDIN's virtual Disneyworld Australia Blog.

On this site you will find continually updated screenshots, videos, blueprints or sketches from our magical parks. For building those magical visions the VDIN uses the software 'Roller Coaster Tycoon 3' in a modified version.

So why build a 3D model of an none-existing theme park? The answer is rather simple... because it doesn't exist! We've got the chance to give our imagination full scope. We're not bound to any existing layouts or blueprints. In many ways Disneyland Australia will be very unique. It would be too boring for us to just dupluciate an entire theme park. So we decided to add some Disney magic to the beautiful city of Sydney. In my opinion it would be great to have a park like that. Well, some people will disagree with me because of the weather, the climax and of course of the financial reasons. But, it's just our imagination! We're convinced that Disney will probably never build an australian theme park anyway. So that's where the world of designs enters the stage. We're are able to design and create three-dimensional parks out of our conceptual ideas for our very own Disneyland.

By the way, I haven't legal rights to any part of the Walt Disney company, so I can't insist that you don't redistribute our pictures, movies and sketches. In fact, feel free to redistribute them as much as you'd like. I've come by this knowledge through entirely free and entirely legal means, and I'd like to spread it around. But always tell about the ones who made it, otherwise it illegal. Read more about those dry law-things at the bottom.

We've started working on this one year ago. But it was more a work of sketching and planning then really a work with outstanding results. We just started a relaunch of our network. At the end of may we are fully recovered and the magic can start over. For the moment you will only get some sketches. But I hope you will stay in touch.
